A restaurant in Madurai is serving mask shaped parotta to customers, creating awareness about the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.

The unique idea of the Madurai restaurant is all over social media platforms with mixed feelings.

The restaurant owner clarified his vision behind the unique idea and said it to educate people regarding the Coronavirus.

The eatery in Madurai named “Temple City Hotel, 1.2 km from Mattuthavani bus terminus is serving these parottas at just Rs. 50.

Twitter is flooded with posts, appreciating The Coronavirus theme food at the restaurant.

Besides Coronavirus themed parottas, the restaurant also serves corona dosa and vada inspired by the shape of the virus. 

The Madurai restaurant of Tamil Nadu gained popularity all over social media with this campaign.

The restaurant started serving hot parottas from the 8th of July and went viral on TwitterTwittee, WhatsApp and Instagram. The restaurant is also available for delivery and takeaways. 

The concept behind the mask shaped parottas to remind people wearingto wear face masks, a necessity to prevent the virus spread

According to medical experts, wearing a face mask reduces 70% to 80% chance of the spread of the deadly virus. 

If two people are wearing a mask with a distance of 2 feet, the chances of being infected reduces by 90%.

 After being permitted by the Central Government to open, the food and beverage industries are spreading awareness amongst people with such food items. 

Recently, a sweet shop in Kolkata also started selling sandesh shaped as the Novel Coronavirus.  It also distributed corona cake to people, educating them about the virus, considering it as a social duty.

Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu has become the 2nd worst Coronavirus hit State with a total of 1,22,350 cases of the Novel Coronavirus. 

Of the total, 46,483 are active cases, 74,167 are recovered/discharged cases and 1,700 are deceased.
