A major fire broke out at the power station in Sector 148 of Greater Noida leading to a blackout in the area.
The massive fire broke out at 8:30 A.M., on the 19th of August.
The Noida Power Company Limited (NPCL) electricity sub station where the fire broke out provides electricity to Noida Metro and area.
The fire was reported in a transformer at the NPCL power station. Fire tenders rushed to the spot and doused the fire.
So far, no casualties have been reported and the fire fighting operations are also underway.
The cause of the fire is yet to be known.
