The Monsoon Parliament Session ended on the 23rd of September amid the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.

While the Rajya Sabha was adjourned sine die in the afternoon of the 23rd of September, the Lok Sabha would be adjourned after the evening session.

The Lok Sabha session would begin at 6:00 P.M., and would hurriedly discuss the remaining issues and bills.

Majority of important bills and issues were already passed and raised in the Parliament sessions, which started from the 14th of September.

The Parliament Monsoon Session was scheduled to be held till the 1st of October, but due to the increasing cases of COVID-19, had to end early.

Meanwhile, the members of the opposition parties continued to boycott Parliament proceedings over the suspension of eight Rajya Sabha Members of Parliament (MPs.)

On the 21st of September, the Chairman of the Rajya Sabha, Venkaiah Naidu suspended 8 MPs of opposition parties for their unruly behavior with the Deputy Chairman of the Rajya Sabha.

The MPs created chaos and violence during the session on the 20th of September, after the Upper House passed two farm bills.

In addition, during the last session of the Lok Sabha Monsoon Parliament Session 2020 MPs would likely discuss the National Education Policy, Underachievement of TB elimination program and domestic violence amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
