41 Indians among 57 foreigners killed in Nepal quake

Kathmandu, Nepal: As many as 41 Indians among 57 foreigners were killed in the Nepal earthquake, according to the Nepal police. Nearly 7,276 people were killed and 14,267 people were injured in the massive quake, that hit Nepal and some parts of India on April 25. Atleast 10 Indians were also among the injured. However, the death toll is expected to climb much higher. The relief operations are underway.

Atleast 22 Buddhist monks were rescued by an Indian Air Force team from a remote village of Gorkha district. Arjun Vajpai, India’s youngest Everest summiteer, was also rescued by Nepal Army team from Makalu base camp.
