India launched its biggest tax reform since independence, the Goods and Services Tax (GST.) Some believe it could be a disaster while others believe it will be very helpful. Below are the phones that have become cheaper after the GST roll out.
1. iPhone 7 Plus: The iPhone has become cheaper for all its different storage models. The iPhone 7 Plus with 32 GB is now available for Rs. 67,300 compared to its earlier price, Rs. 72,000. The 128 GB model is priced at Rs. 76,200 and the 256 GB model can be purchased at Rs. 85,400.
2. iPhone 7: This phone has also seen price cuts across its variants. The smartphone’s 32 GB model was earlier available for Rs. 60,000 and now you can purchase it at Rs. 56,200. The 128 GB model is now priced at Rs. 65,200 compared to its initial price Rs. 70,000. The 256 GB model that was previously sold at Rs. 80,000 will be available at Rs. Rs. 74,400.
3. iPhone SE: This 4 inch iPhone has also seen price cuts. The 32 GB model has a Rs. 1,200 discount and sold at Rs. 26,000. The 128 GB model will be available at Rs. 35,000 after a Rs. 2,200 discount.
4. Asus ZenFone 3: This smartphone released in India in August last year at Rs. 27,999 but now the phone will be available at Rs. 16,999.
5. Asus ZenFone 3 Max: This 5.5 inch full HD display phone will have a Rs. 1,000 discount and will be available at Rs. 14,999.
6. Asus ZenFone 3S Max: This smartphone with a 5.2 inch HD display and 2.5D curved glass was initially available at Rs. 14,999 but now can be purchased at Rs. 12,999.
7. Panasonic P88: This smartphone was launched late last year has received a Rs. 800 price cut and will be available at Rs. 8,490.
8. Panasonic Eluga I3 Mega: The smartphone was released in May this year and has a discount of Rs. 1,000 making it available at Rs. 9,900.
9. Panasonic Eluga Pulse X: This phone was launched in March this year and has a price cut after GST. The 5.5 inch HD IPS display phone will be available at Rs. 10,490 after Rs. 500 price cut.
