Sixteen children were injured in a school bus accident, today. The bus hit a divider at Rajnigandha Chowk in Noida, around 8:00 A.M.
The incident took place when a bus belonging to Apeejay School, travelling with 30 students, crashed into a divider at an underpass. The police immediately rushed to the site to rescue the victims.
The children seated in the bus were injured and were rushed to the Kailash Hospital in Noida. The driver and conductor of the bus are said to be in critical condition and are undergoing treatment.
Manoj Kumar Pant, a police officer, said, “Sixteen children were injured in the accident. They were taken to Kailash Hospital and discharged after first- aid. The driver, Ganga Saran, has received severe injuries and is being treated.”
The bus was seized by the police and an investigation is in progress.
