On the 8th of July, Oman suspended passenger flights from India and 23 other countries in the wake of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Besides India, the Oman Government suspended flights from Bangladesh, Pakistan, Tunisia, South Africa, Indonesia, Philippines, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Guinea, Colombia, Argentina and Brazil.
The suspension of passenger flights is said to be a part of the Gulf Nation’s effort to control the spread of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19.)
As of now, there is no specific duration regarding the suspension of the flights from 24 countries. The flights have been suspended until further notice and an official notification regarding the same has been issued.
Meanwhile, as of now, Oman has 2,80,235 COVID-19 positive cases with 1,675 new cases of the Wuhan virus. The country has reported 3,356 coronavirus related deaths.
