During the early hours of Friday, Pakistani forces violated the ceasefire yet again and started firing indiscriminately at the International Border in Arnia. The firing caused the death of one BSF constable.

The deceased was identified as Bajinder Bahadur from Uttar Pradesh. After he was attacked, Bajinder was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital.

The villages in the area were in chaos as the mortar shells fired hit residential areas. One of the mortar shells fell on a house in Devigarh but fortunately, there were no casualties.

The firing then slowly moved towards R. S. Pura sector and the Pakistani forces fired at BSF outposts.

In the last four months, Pakistan has violated the ceasefire almost every day. Nearly 4,000 people have migrated from the areas near the border due to the continuous clashes.

Dozens of soldiers have lost their lives and many are left injured as Pakistani troops remain persistent on violating the ceasefire across the border.
