Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on the 11th of September, appointed Pramod Kumar Mishra, a retired Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, as his Principal Secretary.
After the resignation of Nripendra Misra, PM Modi appointed Pramod Kumar Mishra. The Central Government also announced P.K. Sinha would be the Principal Advisor to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
P.K. Mishra was the Additional Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for five years and worked closely with Nripendra Misra, the former Principal Secretary.
P.K. Mishra is an IAS officer of the 1972 batch from the Gujarat cadre and also held positions like the Secretary of Agriculture and Cooperation and the Chairman of the State Electricity and Regulatory Commission.
On the other hand, P.K. Sinha functioned as the Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the Prime Minister’s Office.
Both P.K. Mishra and P.K. Sinha will take over their respective charges on the 11th of September.
