PM Modi Addresses Nation, Says Pandemic Isn’t Yet Over

On the 20th of October at 6:00 P.M., Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation. 

This was Mr. Modi’s first address to the nation after the Unlock 5.0., which was implemented in October.

Narendra Modi’s address to the nation came at a time when India is all set to celebrate Navaratri and Diwali.

While Navaratri celebrations started from the 18th of November, Diwali is scheduled on the 13th of November.

In addition, India is also showing great recovery with 88 % recovered/discharged cases and below 50,000 single day cases.

Mr. Modi said, Government is preparing to make sure that COVID-19 vaccine reaches every person.

Narendra Modi said, “Till the time there is no vaccine, we must keep our fight against coronavirus going.”

Praising the recovery of India from COVID-19 Mr. Modi said, “Indians have come a long way amid Covid-19 pandemic.”

He further added, “From the Janata curfew against Corona till today all of us Indians have come a long way. Over time, economic activity also seems to be gradually increasing.” 

Concluding his address to the nation, Mr. Modi said, “Must not forget that lockdown may be over but coronavirus hasn’t.”

Till date, India has 75,97,063 positive cases of the Novel Coronavirus.
