On the 22nd of October, Friday at 10:00 A.M., Mr. Narendra Modi addressed the nation. In his virtual meet, addressing the citizens of India, Mr. Narendra Modi highlighted India’s steps to combat the Wuhan virus (Novel Coronavirus) and the ongoing Wuhan virus vaccination drive.
Mr. Narendra Modi said, India’s vaccination programme was based on scientific research and planning and with this, India achieved a milestone and administered 100 crores vaccine. He also congratulated the people of India, who cooperated and made the big achievement possible. During the address to the nation, Mr. Narendra Modi said, “It is a matter of pride for us that India’s vaccination programme has been science-born, science-driven and science-based.” He further said, “India scripts history. We are witnessing the triumph of Indian science, enterprise and the collective spirit of 130 crore Indians. Congrats India on crossing 100 crore vaccinations. Gratitude to our doctors, nurses and all those who worked to achieve this feat.”
Feeling pride with this milestone of 100 crore vaccination achievement, Mr. Narendra Modi said, “People questioned India on how the country would deal with the pandemic, whether India will get the vaccines. But today, the 100 cr vaccine mark is answering all those questions.”
In addition, the Prime Minister of India urged people to follow the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) appropriate behavior as the festive season is approaching.
Mr. Narendra Modi said, “I urge all the citizens to make ‘made in india’ and ‘vocal for local’ as much of a movement as ‘swachh abhiyaan’. This diwali unlike the last one, we have a sense of belief and confidence.” He also appreciated the unity of India and said, “Many people mocked when Indians banged thalis and lit diyas last year. However, it was India’s unity that was on display during those events.”
The PM speech came a day after India achieved the biggest milestone and administered 100 crore COVID-19 doses to Indians.
Meanwhile, in India there are below 2,00,000 active cases of the Wuhan virus with a recovery rate of 98.15 %.
