After removing Sachin Pilot from the post of the Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan and President of the Indian National Congress (INC) in the Rajasthan unit, the State Government appointed Govind Singh Dotasra as the President of the INC in Rajasthan.
With this appointment, Govind Singh Dotasra would have two duties, one as the Education Minister of Rajasthan and President of the INC in Rajasthan.
On the afternoon of the 14th of July, the Indian National Congress conducted a meeting and decided to remove Sachin Pilot, Ramesh Meena, the Food and Civil Supplies Minister of Rajasthan and Vishvendra Singh, the Tourism Minister of Rajasthan.
The decision was taken with unanimous votes of 104 Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs.)
Randeep Singh Sujrewala, the Chief Spokesperson of the INC, after the meeting, briefed the media and said, “The Congress (INC) party has taken some decisions with a heavy heart.”
In addition, the INC also sacked Mukesh Bhakar and Rakesh Pareek as presidents of the frontal organisations, Youth Congress and Sewa Dal. Ganesh Ghoghra, an MLA from Dungarpur and Hem Singh Shekhawat were given the posts.
Meanwhile, Sachin Pilot took to Twitter and said, “सत्य को परेशान किया जा सकता है पराजित नहीं। (Truth can be disturbed not defeated.”)
Vishvendra Singh also took to Twitter and criticised the INC Government in Rajasthan.
Mr. Singh said, “The cost of speaking up about internal disputes ! Bring it on!”
In another tweet he said, “Ab kyu darr rahi hai minority government ? (sic)”
The new INC President of the Rajasthan unit would take over his charges with immediate effect.
