Samsung’s problems are exploding out of control with yet another phone catching fire and this time on a flight.

A Samsung Galaxy J7 caught fire on a Delhi to Indore Jet Airways flight just 15 minutes after takeoff.

The passenger carrying the phone was among 120 passengers on the flight. The phone was in a bag along with two other phone when the user noticed smoke coming out of the bag. He immediately handed the device over to the flight attendant.

To everyone’s surprise, the fire extinguisher on the flight was not working. The flight attendant was forced to pour water on the device to put out the flame.

The passenger carrying the smartphone was furious by the lack of proper safety equipment on the flight.

“I will complain against Jet Airways after I return home. This is a question of safety of passengers in flights. If there is a major fire or blast what will they do when their fire extinguishers don’t work like this,” he angrily said.

Samsung immediately responded to the incident with a statement that read, “We are in touch with relevant authorities for more information. At Samsung, customer safety is top priority.”

Just last month, a Samsung Galaxy Duos exploded in a man’s shirt pocket. The incident was recorded on CCTV footage which shows the narrow escape by the owner. Samsung claimed that the users had installed a third party Samsung battery which is not registered with the South Korean company.
