Rahul Gandhi’s address in the United States today turned a few heads including Union Minister Smriti Irani. The BJP politician said that is was “deplorable” that the vice president of Congress attacked Prime Minister Modi in a foreign country.
She went on to say that it was “appalling to hear him say ‘dynast run everything in India’ when asked about dynastic politics. He seems to have forgotten that in the Independent India, there are many citizens who have contributed in different walks of life, but they do not have any political legacy. The Prime Minister himself is a man who has risen from a humble background, as have the President and the Vice President.”
Smriti Irani also said that when Prime Minister Modi and BJP won the last national elections it was the biggest defeat for Rahul Gandhi’s party Congress and added that it showed “India is not dynastic in nature.”
Rahul Gandhi is on a two week tour of the United States and at his first address in the country at the University of California, Berkeley, he insulted the BJP and the Prime Minister Modi.
