SP Leader Mulayam Singh’s Daughter In Law Aparna Yadav Donates For Ayodhya Ram Temple Construction

The Ayodhya Ram Mandir construction fund drive received an amount of Rs. 11 lakhs.

On the 20th of February, Aparna Yadav, the younger daughter in law of Samajwadi Party (SP) leader and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav, donated Rs. 11 lakhs.

The cheque was handed over to the representative of the trust and Pant Pracharak of Awadh Province Mr. Kaushal and Karyavah Prashant Bhatia. They arrived at Ms. Yadav’s residence in Lucknow and took the cheque of Rs. 11 lakhs.

Ms. Aparna Yadav said, “I have voluntarily made this donation. While donating, I cannot take the responsibility for my family.” She said, “Ram is the centre of India’s character, culture and faith. It is becoming the temple of the country. I feel that every Indian should donate to the Ram temple, so I have also donated.”

The grand Ram Ayodhya temple is under construction after winning the land dispute case in 2019. Later in 2020 November, the Supreme Court directed to form a committee for supervising the construction work.

The Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust is overseeing the construction of Ayodhya Ram Mandir and recently started a mass contribution campaign for the construction of the grand temple in Ayodhya.

In accordance with mass collection of funds, the trust had printed 4 crore coupons of Rs. 10 denomination, 8 crore coupons of Rs. 100 and 12 lakh coupons of Rs. 1,000 denomination for the donation drive. The Trust said nearly 4 lakh volunteers would cover 55 crore people (11 crore families) in 5 lakh villages during the campaign.

Under the fund raising drive known as ‘Nidhi Samarpan Abhiyan’ (fundraising campaign) the trust collected more than Rs. 15,000 crores.

The drive which started from the 15th of January would continue till the 27th of February.
