Legendary actor and Tamil superstar Rajinikanth, on the 3rd of December, announced to launch his political party in January 2021.
Mr. Rajinikanth took to Twitter and said, “ஜனவரியில் கட்சித் துவக்கம்,
டிசம்பர் 31ல் தேதி அறிவிப்பு.
#மாத்துவோம்_எல்லாத்தையும்_மாத்துவோம்

While the Party would be launched in January 2021, an official announcement or release regarding the same would be made on the 31st of December.
Today’s Twitter announcement came a few days after Superstar Rajinikanth met district officials and authorities of Rajini Makkal Mandram (RMM.)
On the 30th of November, Mr. Rajinikanth held a meeting with his followers and supporters in Chennai.
During the meeting with the members of the RMM, Rajinikanth hinted about his Party launch and entry into politics. After the meeting, he addressed the media and said he would announce his political entry soon.
Mr. Rajinikanth said, “I met the district secretaries. They expressed their views, I shared mine. They assured me that they will be on my side with whatever decision I make. I will announce my decision as soon as possible.”
Assembly elections are due in Tamil Nadu next year.
A.J. Stalin, the District Secretary of Thoothukudi, said, “Most of the office bearers wanted him to contest in the 2021 assembly elections but we also wanted him to take care of his health.”
Mr. Rajinikanth made headlines several times over his political stand. In 2017, the actor said his entry in politics was imminent.
However, due to his health conditions he decided to stay away from entering politics. He said he would be announcing his political entry at the right time.
