TDP And YSRCP Move No Confidence Motion Against Modi Government

Today, the Telugu Desam Party initiated a no confidence motion against the Modi Government in the Lok Sabha. The opposition YSRCP led by Jagan Reddy also moved a no confidence motion against the Central Government. The two parties were far from getting enough number of votes to make the move in the Parliament.

This caused a commotion in the House pushing Speaker Sumitra Mahajan to adjourn the Parliament till Monday. The House met at 11 A.M., the members who won vacant seats in the House took their oath. After which the Speaker condoled the passing of three former members, physicist Stephen Hawking and 9 CRPF personnel who lost their lives in a Naxal attack in Chhattisgarh.

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi and the Telugu Desam Party created a ruckus in the Parliament adjourning the House.

Once the House reconvened Speaker Mahajan said, “There is a notice to debate a no confidence motion in the House today by YSRCP MP Y. V. Subba Reddy and I am duty bound to inform the members of the motion. However, I will not do so unless the House is in order.”

However, the Speaker did not make a mention of the similar motion moved by Chandrababu Naidu’s TDP. After the MPs refused to calm down and return to their seats the Speaker adjourned the House till Monday.
