The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) President Pravin Togadia attacked the BJP Government and PM Modi over the Ram Temple dispute. On Friday in Aurangabad President Togadia, stated people voted for Modi to build the Ram Temple not to make laws on triple talaq.
He further stated the Government is required to pass a legislation to allow construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. Togadia was quoted saying, “People have voted you to power not for making laws on triple talaq, but for the construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.”
The VHP President is on a two day tour in Aurangabad and Parbhani. Addressing the media in Aurangabad he said, “A law should be passed for the construction of Ram Temple so that it is built soon. Whether to make a law on triple talaq or not is up to the government, but they should make a law for Ram temple.”
Togadia stated he has faith in the Judiciary and a law should be passed to allow the Ram Temple construction. He also said he and the Hindu community have waited for a long time to see the Ram Temple built.
The Babri Masjid-Ram Janmabhoomi Dispute is a long standing issue for a land in Ayodhya. The Babri Masjid was broken down by Hindu extremists who believed Ram was born in the exact same spot the Masjid was built. The Supreme Court constituted a Bench headed by Chief Justice Dipak Misra. The Bench will hear the appeals for the case on the 14th March after adjourning the hearing multiple times.
