The Union Health Ministry, on the 27th of June, revised clinical management protocol for treating Covid-19 patients.

The World Health Organization (WHO) even called for a rapid increase in production of the steroid Dexamethasone to save lives.
The drug is claimed to reduce death risk of moderate and severe Coronavirus patients.
According to medical experts, those in need of oxygen support who experience excessive inflammatory response, the hospitals could now administer Dexamethasone steroid as an alternative to Methylprednisolone.
The Health Ministry of India said, “Revised clinical management protocol for Covid-19 issued. Dexamethasone has also been allowed as an alternative to Methylprednisolone.”
Since the Novel Coronavirus broke out, there has been no proven cure or vaccine for the infection.
In India as many as 5 lakh people are infected by the Novel Coronavirus, globally the virus has infected at least 9 million people.
