Ramdas Athawale, the Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, tested positive for the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.
The Union Minister tested positive hours after an event of Payal Ghosh joining the Republican Party of India (Athawale) [RPI(A.)]
On the night of the 26th of October, hours after attending the public meeting for the induction of actor Payal Ghosh, Mr. Athawale complained of cough and body pain.
After his complaint, he was advised to undergo COVID-19 test, following which on the 27th of October his results came positive.
As of now, Mr. Athawale is admitted to the Bombay Hospital in South Mumbai, Maharashtra. A team of doctors at Bombay Hospital is monitoring the situation of Mr. Athawale.
