On the 27th of August, the United States (U.S.,) Military carried out an airstrike attack, killing an Islamic State- Khorasan (ISIS-K) Planner. The attack was carried out after the ISIS-K terrorist group killed 13 U.S., Troops and 160 Afghans, conducting two bomb blasts in Kabul.

The Joe Biden led United States Government retaliated for the deadly attack at the Kabul Airport.

On the 25th of August, the Islamic State Khorasan (ISIS-K) carried out a suicide bombing and claimed responsibility for the attack. Responding to the blasts, Mr. Joe Biden, the President of the United States of America (U.S.A.,) said, “We will hunt you down and make you pay.” With the airstrike carried out by the U.S., Military on Friday, the Joe Biden Administration acted upon the promise they made.

However, it is not yet clear whether the ISIS-K planner who died in the U.S., drone strike was involved in Thursday’s bomb blasts. Friday’s airstrike was carried out in the Nangarhar Province of Afghanistan. In addition, the U.S., force assured that no civilians were hurt during the retaliation attack.

The airstrike was authorised by Mr. Joe Biden and it was ordered by the Defense Secretary of the U.S., Mr. Lloyd Austin. Another major reason to conduct the drone strike was a warning to the ISIS-K group, which said they would carry out more bombings in Kabul.

On the 27th of August, the White House Press Secretary Ms. Jen Psaki said Mr. Joe Biden’s national security team offered a grim outlook. She said, “They advised the president and vice president that another terror attack in Kabul is likely, but that they are taking maximum force protection measures at the Kabul airport.”

In regard to this, on Friday evening, the State Department officials (U.S.,) again urged Americans to stay away from airport gates, including the New Ministry of Interior gate in Kabul.

Meanwhile, the rescue operation to evacuate stranded citizens of the U.S.A., and the Afghans who are fleeing the country to escape the Taliban rule in Afghanistan and its Capital, Kabul is still underway.

Since the Taliban force took over Kabul, Afghanistan, the region has become a war zone. Afghans and other stranded citizens of the U.S.A., India and other nations are trying to escape from the Taliban.
