Wasim Rizvi Asks AIMPLB To Return Lands To Hindus

On Wednesday, the Uttar Pradesh Shia Central Waqf Board Chairman Wasim Rizvi asked the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) to hand over a few lands to Hindus, where Mughals demolished Temples to build Mosques. In his letter to AIMPLB Chairman Maulana Rabe Hassan Nadvi, Rizvi said, “They (Mughals) demolished many Temples and built Mosques on some of them.”

The letter further read, “I know that you will reject my suggestion to hand over these Mosques to Hindus since your organization is dominated by Islamic extremists. I wish to bring to your notice that Islam preaches that you should support truth and righteous issues.” Rizvi described the AIMPLB as an NGO dominated by Islamic fundamentalists. Rizvi said, “I am writing to you since members of your NGO are present in each state of India and they were well aware of basic tenets of Islam and they can help in building a consensus on this issue. I hope that AIMPLB will present this matter at the next meeting of its executive committee.”

Rizvi further pointed out 9 lands that the AIMPLB should hand over to Hindus. The nine lands are Atala Mosque in Jaunpur, Ayodhya (Babri Masjid,) Kashi Vishwanath temple in Varanasi, Keshav Dev temple at Mathura, Rudra Mahalaya Temple in Batana, Adina Mosque in Pandua, Bhadrakali Temple in Ahmedabad, Kutubul Islam mosque near Qutub Minar in Delhi, Vijaya Temple in Vidisha. Rizvi added these Temples should immediately be handed over to Hindus.
