On World Smile Day, let’s take a look at a photographer who doesn’t require a studio or makeup artists to bring out the beauty in others. Let’s make this day more authentic with original smiles rather than the plastered perfection we have unnecessarily got used to.
Jay Weinstein is a photographer who likes making people smile. This Mumbai based photographer started a project named ‘So, I asked them to smile’ in 2013. Jay clicked pictures of complete strangers before and after he asked them to smile. This made for a beautiful collection of people going from serious onlookers to cheerful friends.
Jay traveled across India and captured the best smiles which he described as, “Just one human face. Without, and with a smile.”
