By-Elections were held in eight states for 10 assembly seats. Of the ten seats, BJP is leading in six. The BJP is expected to make a clean sweep in many of the states. The party also is expecting its next win in Rajouri Garden area of New Delhi, which is held by the Aam Aadmi Party.
Congress has registered a win in Karnataka with Nanjangud and Gundlupet seats, which it held previously. Jammu and Kashmir are going to polling again today due to the disruption on April 9. In the first three hours of voting 9% votes were registered.
The voter trend indicates a big win for the Bharatiya Janata Party. Also, huge losses are predicted for the AAP. The Rajouri garden seat fell vacant after the resignation of Jarnail Singh of AAP earlier this year. Singh quit his position so as to take part in the Punjab Assembly Elections.
Congress Delhi Chief Ajay Maken is a voter of Rajouri Gardens in Delhi. In 2015 elections he had a clean sweep win with 67 out of 70 seats. He said that these by-polls will show the result of Arvind Kejriwal’s work in Delhi as CM for the last two years.
BJP registered a win in Himachal Pradesh with Anil Dhama winning the seat of Bhoranj with 8,000 votes. Trinamool Congress has registered a lead in West Bengal with their candidate Chandrima Bhattacharya. The need for polls arose after Dibyendu Adhikari of TMC was elected to Lok Sabha from Tamluk.
With one win after another BJP has proven that they still have dominance over Congress and AAP in most of the Country.
