In a shocking case on Tuesday, the police arrested a 54 year old man for the molestation of five minor students. The incident was shocking to the locals on Ulhasnagar as the 54 year old teacher was awarded as the Best Teacher by the mayor of Ulhasnagar Municipal Corporation a few years ago.
The accused is a teacher, Balchandra Bhangale and has denied all the allegations made against him.
The school’s management and staff were appalled to hear about it. The Principal and trustee of the school said, “We are shocked with Bhangale’s arrest as he has been teaching at the school for 27 years and we have never received any complaints against him. We have offered our full cooperation to the police and are also conducting an internal probe.”
The police investigating have revealed that the accused took three boys and two girls to an empty classroom to punish them and allegedly molested the students.
The five students were sent for a medical test on Wednesday and the results will be ready by Thursday.
