BJP Chief Amit Shah Called His Own Karnataka Minister Corrupt

BJP Chief Amit Shah made a huge blunder by calling his own Karnataka candidate B. S. Yeddyurappa corrupt. Shah was rattling off about the Karnataka’s Congress Government being corrupt.

Shah was quoted saying, “Recently a retired Supreme Court judge said if there was ever a competition of the most corrupt government then the Yeddyurappa government is number one.”

Yeddyurappa was left embarrassed as Shah immediately corrected himself. But this was a gold mine for Congress members who retweeted the video. Congress Chief Rahul Gandhi went on to thank Amit Shah for the positive campaigning.

The elections for Karnataka will be held on the 12th of May while the counting will happen on the 15th of the same month.

Mr. Yeddyurappa was chief minister of Karnataka from 2008 but was forced to step down in 2011. The BJP Minister quit after corruption allegations were raised by Karnataka’s Lokayukta Santosh Hegde. However, in 2016 Yeddyurappa was acquitted of all the charges.
