Hyderabad topped the global charts in the JLL’s City Momentum Index (CMI) in the Short Term Momentum ranking. Bengaluru was dethroned by Hyderabad and pushed to the second spot.
This survey evaluates parameters like connectivity, population, real estate investment, economic output, property prices, corporate activity and retail sales. Last year Hyderabad was ranked fifth on the list. The 2018 edition analyzed the best short term economic and real estate momentum for the past three years.
India always manages to emerge on high ranks in the Short Term Momentum rating. This benefits the country, attracting business tycoons to invest in infrastructure. Pune ranked 4th on the global list while Kolkata took the 5th spot.
This is the fifth year the CMI was released. A number of factors are considered for a city to make the Short Term list. This year, the index was an analyses of 131 major established business hubs in the world.
