In yet another shocking murder of a journalist, K.J. Singh and his mother were found dead at their residence in Mohali on Saturday.
The senior journalist and his 92 year old mother were murdered reported police officials.
Mohali Deputy Superintendent of Police Alam Vijay Singh said, “There were injury marks on their necks.”
Mr. Singh was in his sixties and was the former news editor at The Indian Express.
Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal tweeted “I condemn ghastly murder of senior journalist KJ Singh and his mother at Mohali. Urge police to nab perpetrators imm. (sic)”
The police have also reported that Mr. Singh’s iKon car is missing. The murder came to light at around 1 P.M., when a visitor went to Mr. Singh’s home and entered when no one answered the door.
A probe has been carried out in the case to find the culprits behind the murder.
A few days back another journalist, Santanu Bhowmick from Dinrat news channel was murdered in West Tripura district while he was covering a protest rally.
Another incident on September 5th when journalist Gauri Lankesh was shot dead at her house in Bangalore.
