The Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited will introduce e bikes as a first and last connectivity option. The e bikes will be available from the 15th of August.
At present, metro passengers can hire cycles from the Nagole, Parade Grounds, Rasoolpura, Miyapur, Begumpet and Secunderabad stations. From Independence Day, passengers can hire an e bike from metro stations.
To hire an e bike, install the Metro Bikes app where you can hire bikes. The e bikes will cost Rs. 1 per kilometer only after the licence and identification is verified.
The best feature is passengers can take the bike home and keep it overnight. The app will only charge you for the distance travelled on the bike. Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited Managing Director N. V. S. Reddy inaugurated the e bikes at the Ameerpet Metro Interchange station on Monday.
Mr. Reddy also inaugurated a Local Cafe, Dadu’s Mithai Vatika stores and an art gallery at the Ameerpet station.
