The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) issued a press release, on the 6th of January, stating, there will be no water supply, on the 8th of January, in some areas of Hyderabad.
The Telangana State Transmission Corporation (TS Transco) will carry out some replacement works at the 132/6.6 KV substations part of the Krishna Drinking Water Scheme at Kodandapur, Nasarlapally and Godakondla. Apart from the replacement works, the TS Transco will also work to get rid of the leakage issues at the Krishna Drinking Water Schemes Phase I pipeline.
According to the HMWSSB press release, the areas where people will not get water supply are Riyasathnagar, Santosh Nagar, Vinaynagar, Saidabad, Asmangadh, Chanchalguda, Yakutpura, Malakpet, Moosarambagh, Narayanaguda, Boggulakunta, Adikmet, Shivam, Chilkalguda, Aliabad, Miralam and Kishanbagh.
The other areas where the water supply will be affected are Sahebanagr, BN Reddynagar, Balapur, Barkas, Maisaram, Bandlaguda, Mailardevpally, Shastripuram, Budvel, Golden Heights, Suleman Nagar, Hyderguda, Allabanda, Gandhamguda, Bhojagutta, Asifnagar, Elugutta, Habsiguda, Nacharam, Tarnaka, Lalapet, Boudhanagar and Marredpally apart from Meerpet, Shaikpet, Madhapur, Gachibowli, Prashasanagar, Moulali, HB Colony, Mallapur, Boduppal and Beerappagadda.
As the water supply will be limited tomorrow, the residents of the mentioned areas are advised to save water by using it judiciously.
