A woman in Kukatpally, Hyderabad, residing in a rented apartment was deliberately denied entry by the landlord Jagdish Gupta. Eshwaramma the tenant, returned from Niloufer Children’s Government Hospital with her 10 year old son’s dead body. Jagdish said that bringing the dead body into the home is inauspicious for his family.
Eshwaramma’s 10 year old son, Suresh, studying in 6th class died on the very day in Niloufer Hospital, due to Dengue Fever. This incident took place on Wednesday,14th September, when Eshwaramma spent the whole night on the road with the dead body of her son drenched in rain. The miserable state of affairs occurred because of the landlord’s singular beliefs. The locals expressed their anger and anguish on the landlord for his brainless behavior. Later, the locals arranged a temporary shelter for the woman and her dead son. The neighbours also, helped Eshwaramma by collecting money for the final rituals of Suresh.
