Assistant Sub Inspector Yashodha saved and adopted a stray monkey that got electrocuted. The cop from Kalaburagi in Karnataka has won hearts on social media after she saved the monkey’s life.
ASI Yashodha said, “I was on my way to Yellamma Temple when I saw a huge crowd gathered on the road. When I peeked in, I saw a monkey who had fallen down after receiving a current shock. His eye was bleeding.”
The crowd stood around staring at the dying monkey and Yashodha decided to do something about it. She took the monkey home and then to a veterinary hospital for treatment.
Talking to the media Yashodha said, “Moment I saw the monkey was injured, I took it to the hospital & then brought it home. Since then I have been taking care of it and it gives me immense peace.”
Initially, the monkey’s condition was serious but Yashodha refused to give up on him. She continued to care for him and now he is healthy and happy. Yashodha is an inspiration to everyone in the country as she said, “I request everyone to help animals, they are mute and can’t ask for help.”
Yashodha also stated we may not have the power to help everyone but everyone can save someone. Yashoda and the little monkey are now good friends and the ASI considers him as her own child.
