KCR Launches 4th Phase of Haritha Haram

The Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao launched the fourth phase of the Telangana ku Haritha Haram (TKHH) project. KCR planted a Kadamba sapling at Indira Chowk in Gajwel Town.

To mark Wednesday as the launch of the program, 1,00,116 more saplings were planted by citizens in the town. The Haritha Haram project which aims at a greener Telangana was seen officiated by MLAs and minister across the State.  

Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao and Forest Minister Jogu Ramanna accompanied the CM to Gajwel Town. On his way to Gajwel, KCR stopped at the Forest Research Station at Mulug. There he directed the officials to deploy Green Battalions to ensure conservation of the forests.

KCR further stated police would be sent if help was needed. He also appreciated the officials for their work in conserving the Singarayapally forest. KCR was thrilled with the progress and announced a collective reward of Rs. 5 lakhs.

The CM also promised to sanction additional funds and staff for this Forest Department. He further suggested the officials should organise a ‘Vanabhojanam’ for the legislators in the forest.
