Telangana IT Minister K. T. Rama Rao met British Minister of State for Asia and Pacific Mark Field In Hyderabad on Tuesday. Mr. Field was accompanied by the British High Commissioner to India Dominic Asquith and the British Deputy High Commissioner to Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Andrew Fleming.
KTR spoke to Mr. Field about how Telangana was emerging as the preferred destination for investment in India. KTR went on to give Field an overview of investment opportunities for British companies. These ranges from biotech, aerospace, food processing sectors, IT and textiles. The IT Minister also showed Field the various industrial parks that have come up in Telangana.
KTR was quoted saying, “The State Government is creating state of the art industrial parks such as Hyderabad Pharma City, Medical Devices Park, and Kakatiya Mega Textile Park, propelling rapid growth.”
The two officials also discussed the T Bridge initiative which connects startups that are developed at the T Hub to the U.S., and U.K., markets. Mr. Field visited the T Hub facility to interact with the startups being developed. Mr. Field appreciated the initiative taken up by the Telangana Government to boost innovation ecosystem in Telangana.
