In yet another shocking incident, a 9 year old minor was raped by a 50 year old in Gurazala sub division in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. The minor is a third standard student who complained to her mother of pain.
The mother noticed her daughter was bleeding and rushed her to a local hospital. The doctors said she was badly injured and required stitches. The girl was then moved to the Guntur Government Hospital for treatment.
The minor child was sexually assaulted by 50 year old Mannem Subbaiah a rickshaw puller from the same neighborhood. A case has been registered based on the complaint filed by the mother. The police are yet to arrest the accused.
The Guntur Rural Superintendent of Police Venkata Appala Naidu explained Subbaiah had fled the village and a search party was looking for him. Locals were enraged and staged a protest on the Narkatpalli and Addanki Highway from 10:30 P.M., to 1:30 A.M. The protesters blocked traffic, raised slogans and burnt tires. They demanded the arrest of the accused by the deadline of 3 P.M., this afternoon.
Information regarding the arrest is yet to be revealed by the police.
