RAIN STOPS COMMUTERS IN HYDERABAD, MORE SHOWERS EXPECTED.

Hyderabad: On Wednesday night the city received heavy rainfall which left many people stranded on

the roads. The commuters had a lot of difficulty to travel as there was heavy rain with thunder and

lightning. Secunderabad, NTR Marg, Tank Bund, Kushaiguda, Charlapally, Charminar, Ameerpet,

Kukatpally, LB Nagar and Kothapet were flooded with water making it difficult for people to travel.

The city witnessed drizzling throughout the day but as the day progressed, the downpour was

massive. Drainages were overflowing near Nacharam junction and Uppal recorded a 4 cm of rain

within an hour from 8 P.M..

Officials have stated that the city would receive more rainfall today. IMD data showed high intensity

cumulonimbus clouds moving towards northeast Hyderabad.

We are hoping the rain does not spoil the festivities of the city on the occasion of Vinayaka Visarjan.
