Telangana Revenue Growth Rate at 19.83%: Setting Record In The Country

The Telangana State sets new records for the country and goals for other states with the highest revenue growth rate in the last four years. The K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) Government  observed a revenue growth rate of 19.83 percent in the first quarter of 2018-19. This is an achievement for the newly formed State that came into independent existence from Andhra Pradesh on June 4 2014.

The revenue earned during the first quarter of 2018-19 is Rs. 16,026.63 Crore which is a considerable growth from Rs. 13,374.25 Crore, the revenue earned during the first quarter of 2017-18. This growth has made KCR very happy who plans to implement various programs for the Backward Classes (BCs) and Most Backward Classes (MBCs) in the future.

The Chief Minister of the Telangana State, KCR outlined the progress at Pragathi Bhavan and decided to hold a meeting with his State Cabinet on Monday to discuss various issues pertaining to the development of the State. He also ordered officials to start the implementation of Government schemes that will ensure financial assistance to BCs and MBCs.

The financial assistance scheme will provide loans to unemployed BCs and MBCs worth one or two lakhs without Bank linkages. He believes this scheme will allow self employment to generate in the State.

He further ordered Ministers and officials to conduct a meeting on Sunday to discuss the clauses and manner of implementation. This meeting will be held under the Chairmanship of the Speaker S. Madhusudhana Chary.

The CM will also hold a meeting at Pragathi Bhavan on Saturday with the agenda of reviewing the working and progress of the Haritha Haram Scheme. The Haritha Haram scheme refers to the action plan for a mass plantation program. The Government plans to plant 1000 Crore saplings every year from the next year and increase the number of nurseries in every village.
