Third Front: KCR Meets JD(S) Chief Gowda In Bengaluru

Yesterday, Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao met with former Prime Minister and Janata Dal (Secular) Chief H. D. Deve Gowda to discuss the Third Front in Bengaluru.

The two politicians addressed the media to convey the message of their meeting. KCR explained about the Third Front he also calls the People’s Front is not just an alliance. The CM explained it is a unification of like minded politicians to find solutions to the problems ignored by the BJP and the Congress.  

During the address, KCR said, “The Centre failed to address the Cauvery River water dispute between Karnataka and Tamil Nadu even 70 years after independence. Similarly, the Brijesh Kumar Tribunal failed to deliver its verdict on sharing of Krishna River water for more than 14 years.”

The Telangana CM further asked leaders to get out of the trap laid by the BJP and the Congress. KCR also urged the people of Karnataka to vote for the JD(S) and offered to campaign for the party. He also thanked Gowda for his support during the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh to form Telangana.

On the other end, Deve Gowda said, “There are numerous long pending problems in the country which need to be addressed, especially farmers’ suicides. Why should farmers suffer despite there being plenty of natural resources? Chandrashekhar Rao has shown (sic) way to others by implementing welfare and development programmes for farmers, pregnant women and other sections of the society without any discrimination of caste or creed.”

Actor Prakash Raj was also present at the meeting with Gowda and KCR in Bengaluru. The actor asked political parties to come forward and support KCR. Highlighting KCR had no political agenda, Raj asked the leaders from the country to work towards the betterment of India.

KCR has received the support from West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, AIAMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi and Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan.
