In a shocking incident, a Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC,) conductor was suspended for commenting about Chief Minister KCR on Facebook.
The conductor identified as D. Sanjeev from the Nizamabad I depot, criticised the Telangana Government’s policies during the Singareni Collieries’ Workers Union election.
The government officials wrote to the Nizamabad depot saying it viewed Sanjeev’s posts as critical of the government. This immediately led to an enquiry against Sanjeev.
On October 6, the officials called on the conductor to explain his actions. After which, a report was filed stating the conductor attempted to misguide the public. The depot manager issued a suspension order for Sanjeev on Monday.
It has been reported during Sanjeev’s suspension he will receive half of his actual payment. Sanjeev was upset by this decision and said it was unjust and would take the matter to court.
Sanjeev’s post said, “The government claims that it had given Rs. 250 crore to the RTC from the GHMC but in reality, the TSRTC did not get even a single paisa.”
