UP Budget 2018: Yogi Adityanath Presents This Fiscal Year Budget

On Friday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath presented the Budget for 2018-2019. The Hindu monk announced Rs. 4,28,384.52 crores as the total budget for this fiscal year. This year’s Budget is 11.4% higher than last year.

Finance Minister Rajesh Agarwal read the details of the Budget at the Assembly. He said, “The budget size for 2018-19 is Rs 4,28,384,52 crore, which is 11.4% higher than the last fiscal.”

The Budget will invest Rs. 650 crores in the Bundelkhand Expressway Project. It has kept Rs. 1,000 crores for the Purvanchal Expressway and Rs. 550 crores for the Gorakhpur Link Expressway Project. Another Rs. 500 crores will go to developing the Agra and Lucknow Expressway.

For the education sector, Rs. 18,167 crores has been allocated to the Sarv Siksga Abhiyan. The Budget will provide free books and uniforms for all students from class 1 to 8 under Rs. 116 crores budget. To provide mid day meals to students Rs. 2,048 crores has been allocated.
Under the power sector, Rs. 29,883 crores will be spent while Rs. 1,500 crores will be used for the 2019 Kumbh Mela in Allahabad. Another Rs. 98.5 lakhs will be given to the Kanha Gau Shala and Besahara Pashu Ashray Yojna.
