The men’s Hockey match brings us to an end to India’s Asian Games. This year the event was one of the most successful ones for India in terms of medals won. India ended the game with the total of 69 medals including 15 gold. India is likely to finish in the eighth spot in the total tally of medals.
The Indian men’s Hockey game was the last match of India at the Asian Games 2018. Akashdeep Singh scored the opening goal for India in the third minute of the match. With neither teams scoring a goal in the next two quarters, the match went to an intense fourth quarter.
Harmanpreet Singh made the most of the penalty corner awarded in the 50th minute to double India’s lead. A goal from Muhammad Aziz brought Pakistan back into the match but it was not enough to win.
