The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI,) on the 12th of September, announced the Indian squad which will play the upcoming Test series against South Africa.

The players who will form a team of 15 members against South Africa include expected names like Shubman Gill, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, the Captain of the Indian Cricket Team.

M.S.K. Prasad, the Chairman of the Selection Committee, announced the names of the players.

The Indian squad for the Test series includes Virat Kohli (captain,) Mayank Agarwal, Rohit Sharma, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane (vice captain,) Hanuma Vihari, Rishabh Pant (wicket keeper,) Wriddhiman Saha (wicket keeper,) R. Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, Ishant Sharma and Shubman Gill.

After the recent win in the Test series against West Indies, the Indian Cricket Team is looking forward to win the Test series against South Africa.

Team India will play 3 matches in the Test series against South Africa, scheduled from the 2nd of October till the 23rd of October.  The first match will be conducted in Visakhapatnam from the 2nd of October to the 6th October, whereas the 2nd match and the 3rd match will be conducted in Maharashtra and Ranchi respectively.

As of now, Team India is all set to play T20 Internationals (T20Is) against South Africa, starting from the 15th of September.

The T20I series will be played in Dharamsala on the 15th of September, Mohali, on the 18th of September and Bengaluru, on the 22nd of September.
