BCCI Releases Detailed Fixture Of IPL 2020, Scheduled In UAE

The Board of Control for Cricket (BCCI) on the 6th of September, released the schedule of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020.

The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 would begin from the 19th of September in Abu Dhabi, the United Emirates of Arab (UAE.)

This year the IPL is being held in Abu Dhabi due to the outbreak of the Novel Coronavirus.

As per the released fixtures, Mumbai Indians would play against the Chennai Super Kings in the opening encounter of IPL.

IPL 2020 would be played across three venues Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah from the 19th of September till the 10th of November.

Eight teams would play for the IPL 2020 trophy.

There woul be 10 double headers with the first match starting at 3:30PM Indian Standard Time (IST) and 2:00 P.M.,UAE time.

Meanwhile, all the evening matches would start at 7:30P.M. IST time and 6:00 P.M., UAE time.

There would be 24 matches in Dubai, 20 in Abu Dhabi and 12 in Sharjah. In total there would be 56 matches for IPL 2020 in the UAE.

However, venues for the playoffs and the Dream11 IPL 2020 final is yet to be announced.

All eight franchises reached Abh Dhabj and started practicing after undergoing thorough testing and quarantine protocols at their respective camps and bases in India.

This is the second time IPL is being held in the UAE. In 2014, a part of IPL was held in the UAE due to the Lok Sabha elections.

In addition, shortlisted by the BCCI, seven Indian commentators for IPL would leave for Abu Dhabi on the 10th of September.

The seven commentators are Sunil Gavaskar, L. Sivaramakrishnan, Murali Kartik, Deep Dasgupta, Anjum Chopra, Rohan Gavaskar, and Harsha Bhogle.
