The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is soon going to announce the Indian squad for the Test series against South Africa.
The Test series will begin from the 2nd of October and will continue till the 23rd of October.
After the 2-0 Test series against West Indies, the players are all set to face another Test series against South Africa.
M.S.K. Prasad, the Chairman of the Selection Committee, will announce the names of the players on the 12th of September.
While Rohit Sharma is expected to be in the squad, K.L. Rahul, who was an opener in recent Test series, is said to be in doubt about his place in the Team.
On the other hand, Rohit Sharma, who did not play in the West Indies Test series, is likely to be a part of the Team after repeated requests by the team members.
Players like Shubman Gill, Abhimanyu Eshwaran and Priyank Panchal are also expected to be selected for the upcoming series.
Despite new faces in the team, a few members are expected to be selected again like Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli, the Captain of the Indian Cricket Team, Ajinkya Rahane and Hanuma Vihara.
Apart from these players, Wriddhiman Saha, Hardik Pandya and Rishabh Pant are likely to continue as team members.
However, the official and final list will be announced by the BCCI.
As of now, India is all set to play the T20 Internationals against South Africa.
The T20Is is scheduled to begin from the 15th of September and will continue till the 22nd of September in Dharamsala, Mohali and Bengaluru respectively.
