On Wednesday, the BCCI released the 10th edition of the complete Indian Premier League (IPL) schedule. The IPL starts on April 5 and will be on until May 21. Sunrisers Hyderabad in the first match of the season, the defending champion, runners face Royal Challengers Bangalore. The match will be held at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium at Uppal.
This match will be held on April 5 and the IPL final on May 21 will be held at the same venue. BCCI announced a total of 60 matches in 47 days in 10 venues across the country. Each team plays the other teams to 14 matches. The Uppal stadium will host 7 matches. Also, the Qualifiers, eliminators venues have not yet been decided. After the 2011 Indian Premier League, the Indore stadium will once again be a host to matches. Dharamsala and Raipur have not been scheduled with any matches as of now.
The IPL players’ auction for 2017 will be held in Bangalore on February 20. The prices for the 351 players will be from a minimum value of Rs.10 Lakh to Rs. 2 crore and upwards. This season will see four afternoon games (1600 IST start) on weekdays – Monday and Friday, unlike last season where there were no afternoon games on weekdays.
