Badminton player Saina Nehwal, on the 17th of November, withdrew from the Korea Masters World Tour Super 300 tournament.
After the withdrawal of Indian shuttlers like P.V. Sindhu and Sai Praneeth, the withdrawal of Saina Nehwal is a major drawback for India.
According to sources, Saina Nehwal dropped out of the Korea Masters World Tour Super 300 tournament due to unknown reasons.
Saina Nehwal, however, is likely to play the Syed Modi International World Tour Super 300 Tournament, scheduled to be held in Lucknow next week. With the withdrawal of Saina, no Indian player is participating in the women’s single category of the Korea Masters Super 300 tournament.
Meanwhile, Kidambi Srikanth, another Indian badminton player, is all set to make his way into the men’s single category matches of the Korea Masters World Tour Super 300 Tournament, representing India.
After a gap of a few years due to injuries, Srikanth resumed his badminton career with a tournament in Hong Kong and now, he plans to win the Korea Masters title.
The qualifiers of the Korea Masters World Tour Super 300 Tournament begin from the 19th of November. The tournament would continue till the 24th of November.
The Korea Masters World Tour Super 300, officially known as the Gwangju Korea Masters 2019, would take place at the Gwangju Women’s University Gymnasium in Gwangju, South Korea.
