Sourav Ganguly, the President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI,) is scheduled to meet Rahul Dravid, the head of the National Cricket Academy (NCA,) to discuss the growth of the NCA.
The meeting is scheduled to be held on the 26th of December at the BCCI headquarters in Mumbai. The meeting would mainly focus on injury management of the Indian Cricket Team’s players.
The decision to conduct a meeting regarding injury management came after many Indian cricketers, including Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar, underwent poor injury management.
According to sources, the NCA could not detect Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s sports hernia despite multiple scans, while Jasprit Bumrah was denied a fitness test at the NCA.
Besides, Sourav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid would also discuss the appointment of BCCI’s new Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) panel.
Rahul Dravid and Sourav Ganguly would also discuss the conflict of interest issue due to which many renowned players refused to head the CAC.
The meeting is expected to start shortly.
