TRS MLA Makes Controversial Comment On Sunrisers Hyderabad In IPL Auction

On the 20th of February, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) Danam Nagender criticised on IPL auction 2021 management.

Mr. Nagender came down heavily on management of the Sunrisers Hyderabad for not selecting cricket players from Hyderabad for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021.

Speaking to the media in Hyderabad Mr. Nagender mentioned that there are several promising players, who have the potential to play in the IPL, but not chosen.

The MLA warned to obstruct cricket matches to be played by SRH in Hyderabad.  He said that the Mumbai Indians has picked up Sachin Tendulkar’s son Arjun for IPL. “Why not SRH should select cricketers from Hyderabad.”

The comments of Mr. Danam came after recently held IPL auction event.

The event was held in Chennai on the 18th of February. All the 8 IPL franchises were a part of the 2021 IPL auction event. The auction was held for 60 players of the total 292 players for the 14th edition of the IPL. Of the total 298 enlisted players, 164 are Indian players and 125 are overseas.
