Virat Kohli Announces His Return to the IPL Field

Good news for Indian Premier League (IPL) and Virat Kohli fans! The ace cricketer has announced his return to the cricket tournament after he was out of action for three weeks owning to an injury.

Virat Kohli had to back out from the tenth season of IPL because of a shoulder injury sustained during a test match in March against Australia in Ranchi. In his absence, Royal Challengers Bangalore, the team which Kohli generally captains, is under the leadership of Shane Watson. The team has so far lost two matches and won one match. The restlessness of the members within and without the team has clearly been visible, longing for Kohli’s powerful leadership.

But the cricketer wanted to make absolutely sure that he is fit to play before he could lift a bat. “I don’t want to take any chances with Champions Trophy (in June) coming up. I want to be 120% fit,” Kohli had said in Hyderabad on April 5, the opening day of IPL 2017.

But the RCB captain is now vying to return to the field against Mumbai Indians at the M. Chinnaswamy stadium in Bangalore on Friday, April 14. He took to Instagram to announce his return with a video of him lifting weights saying, “Can’t wait to get back onto the field. Almost there now 💪✌️😃. 14th April ⏳.

Looks like Kohli is determined to bring home the IPL 2017 trophy for his home team RCB!
