West Indies Tour 2019 – India To Play Test Match Against Windies

The Indian Cricket Team is all set to play the 1st Test match of the West Indies Tour 2019 against the West Indies.

The 1st Test match will begin from the 22nd of August and will continue till the 27th of August at Sir Vivian Richard Stadium, West Indies.

After T20 Internationals and One Day Internationals (ODIs,) these two Test matches will be the last format of the 1 month West Indies Tour.

The West Indies Tour started with the T20Is on the 3rd of August and will end with the Test matches.

As of now, India won the 3 T20Is and two ODI matches, whereas one ODI match was cancelled due to rain.

If India wins the Test series, India will be declared the winner of the West Indies Tour 2019.

So far, India won a total of 9 Test matches against the West Indies out of 23.  Since 2002, India did not lose any Test match against the West Indies and has been strong in this format.

The Indian Squad which will play the Test match against the West Indies will include Ajinkya Rahane, Cheteshwar Pujara, Hanuma Vihari, Mayank Agarwal, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli (Captain,) Ravindra Jadeja, K.L. Rahul, Rishabh Pant (WK,) Wriddhiman Saha, Ishant Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Shami, Ravichandran Ashwin and Umesh Yadav.

On the other hand, the West Indies Team which will play the Test series includes Darren Bravo, John Campbell, Kraigg Brathwaite, Sharmarh Brooks, Shimrom Hetmyer, Jason Holder, Keemo Paul, Rahkeem Cornwall, Roston Chase, Shai Hope, Shane Dowrich, Kemar Roach, Miguel Cummins and Shanon Gabriel.

The second Test match will begin on the 30th of August.

The West Indies Tour 2019 will end on the 4th of September.
